  We have dinner at the Carolina House often. Good food, reasonably quiet, and good drinks. Staff is generally wonderful. We especially like the sirloin tips, soups, spareribs, and deserts. There is little on the menu that we avoid.

  I went there at least once a week. Then had 3 bad experiences. The first time we went there my chicken sandwich was so over done could not even bite it, ok they took it back I reordered. Next time went in for lunch we tried the beloved chicken sandwich again and were dismayed both were awful, the owner couldn't have been more apologetic we both reordered, she blamed it on the distributor of chicken! My daughter ordered the special pizza, and yes a black hair cooked into it, owner bought us lunch to try to make up for it. Hard to make up for that experience.
  Now tonight, my last try, my filet special (for $31) looked lovely, unfortunately, could hardly cut the filet with a steak knife, and unfortunately the fresh broccoli was so overcooked. When I told our waitress she stated I told about the filet before!! needless to say we will not be back :-( too bad
